Workshops

Creativity and innovation are among the most in-demand skills for the future of work — and, contrary to the myth, they can be learned.

Several publications on the skills the workforce of the future will need list Creativity and Innovation among the top five most in demand. The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report (2018) ranked Analytical Thinking & Innovation as the number one in-demand skill for 2022, and Creativity, Originality and Initiative as number three. Yet the field of Creativity and Innovation is somewhat shrouded in myth and mystery, and employers and employees who want to improve these skills are often unsure how to go about it.

Collavare Solutions offers training to help employees understand and improve their competence in the field of Creativity & Innovation. See our workshops below.

Introduction to Creativity & Innovation

One-day or two-day workshop

This workshop is structured to provide a basic understanding of Creativity and Innovation. By the end, participants should be able to apply the skills they have learnt in their jobs, making them more productive. Some of the areas covered include:

  • The importance of creativity and innovation skills
  • Understanding the brain and how the brain works
  • Debunking creativity myths
  • Constraint: the driver of creativity
  • Creativity techniques (SIT, McKinsey, 4Cs, and others)
  • Hands-on exercises

Introduction to Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT)

One-day or two-day workshop

With SIT, creativity takes place “inside the box” — as against the popular belief that creativity happens “outside the box”. The SIT methodology dispels the myth that only a select few can be creative: anyone can be creative using the principles and tools of SIT. The workshop allows for plenty of hands-on exercises.

  • Introduction to SIT principles
  • Introduction to SIT thinking tools
  • Hands-on exercises

We also run an abridged introduction to Creativity & Innovation, free of charge. This can be delivered as a webinar or at your location.
